Learned a few tricks and got inspired to pursue more photography Nicolas was informative and patient at answering lots of questions and helping students get the most out of their equipment We took the necessary time to dive in to four different photos to ensure the objective, details and technical aspects were understood. I'm more confident as a result and understand my camera capabilities much better now

I like the class and learn more and really put that into practice. What I would suggest, is another spot. I understand that Downtown may be the more convenience spot to meet. But us getting boring. The parliament is under construction, so that really does not give a good sight for capturing images.

This October image of a chipmunk was taken on my Lanark County property, I prefer to photograph small wildlife such as this fellow in a natural rustic setting. I always take my images of wildlife big or small early morning or late afternoon?not only are creatures more active but the low angle of light provides better modeling of the subject. When I frame my subjects, I look for angles that provide uncluttered backgrounds, I leave negative space in the framing to allow for text to be added if nee

Title "Snow Owl Balancing Act" Back in January 2025, I saw a female snow owl around the same area. Since then my dream was to see a male! Going back to search in this area on March 13, I noticed a white spot high up on a post in the field in front of me. Bingo! There was the beautiful male! As I was getting closer to the post the male in constant movement was taking different poses in front of me. This photo shows its most captivating pose. I was living my dream! High tide was around 2am which meant there would still be plenty of water on the beach in the hour before sunrise. Weather forecast was promising with sun and cloud forecast so I was set for an early start. Up at 5-40am and was in position on the beach just before 5 am. As often happens my best pictures were taken within the first 20 minutes when the light was at its best.
